All five power classes in this range — 15, 20, 25, 30 and 50 kW — are hybrid inverters: a single unit manages solar generation, battery charge/discharge, and grid import/export together, rather than requiring a separate battery inverter alongside the solar inverter. That single-box design is what makes a hybrid system cheaper to install and easier to monitor than a retrofit built from two separate devices.

The line runs on a high-voltage battery bus, which is a deliberate design choice: at high voltage, the same power flows at lower current, so the cabling, fusing and connectors throughout the system can be smaller and less expensive than an equivalent low-voltage (48 V) hybrid setup — an advantage that scales directly with system size, which is why Deye uses it across this entire commercial range.

The 15, 20 and 25 kW models share the same 'SG01' platform: 2 MPPT trackers, a 200–800 V battery window, and up to 97.6% peak efficiency, all in an IP65 enclosure that can be installed outdoors without an additional weatherproof cabinet.

The 30 kW model, the SUN-30K-SG02HP3-EU-AM3, actually belongs to a newer 'SG02' sub-generation rather than a simple scale-up of the 15–25 kW range: it adds a third MPPT tracker, accepts a wider PV oversizing ratio (up to 48 kWp), and reaches a slightly higher peak efficiency of 98.5%, though its battery voltage window (160–700 V) is narrower. In practice, the 30 kW step is where the platform transitions to Deye's newer hybrid architecture ahead of the 50 kW flagship.

The 50 kW model tops the range with 4 independent MPPT trackers and accepts up to 80 kW of PV — nearly double the array oversizing headroom of the 15 kW unit — useful for sites with multiple roof orientations or partial shading, since each MPPT tracks its own string group independently. All models support UPS-style switchover in under 4 milliseconds during a grid outage (with a compatible battery), and up to 10 units can be paralleled to scale a single site well beyond 50 kW without changing platform.
